When Will Muscle Cars Come To Be Manufactured For A Second Time

If you are somebody in your forties or fifties, and you have fond recollections of your first car, more than likely you had an All-American muscle car. There happens to be a growing phenomena of people throughout the United States shopping for classic muscle cars to restore. The primary reason for this is because nobody produces cars like this anymore. The primary question is who is going to start producing them again? If you are looking for a couple of good automotive websites, car invoice in Canada and new car pricing Canada are great resources to facilitate your car searching experience.

Chevy and Ford have been releasing new editions of Camaro's and Mustangs ever since the 60's. The problem is the fact that with each passing model, they move away from the fierce power of a muscle car towards something more scientifically advanced. Will there ever be another car that's got a 327 and a 4 barrel carburetor? The sad reality is we will probably never enjoy those types of cars again.

The main problem is people prefer to correct things when they are not necessarily broken in the first place. A good example is the timeless 1967 Camaro, which is regarded as the all time great muscle car. Though it received many accolades and was highly sought after, Chevy stopped producing it. The same goes for the 1966 Mustang, which happens to be another classic that Ford just decided was not worth making.

Here's exactly where it becomes intriguing. Volkswagen saw the potential to remake the VW Bug and they did. While the modern Bug sold great they could possibly have sold more if they simply just went back to the old style of Bug. It's hard to be successful if you constantly believe that doing things a new way is always better.

Probably the most significant point is certainly this. If perhaps Chevy sprang out with a new Camaro with a 327 engine and 4 barrel carburetor, and if they ignored all the computer equipment and built the car like they used to, how many of you would want one? I asked this question to practically countless people throughout the years and they all said they would immediately get one. So what is the problem with the manufacturing businesses? If people today want the good old days, when is some auto company going to give people what they demand.

What will it take for GM or Ford to make a decision to make the classic muscle cars once more? I'm certain that selling these unforgettable American cars will be very lucrative for the car companies. But till the big corporations realize that there is a demand for these kinds of vehicles we are going to need to keep looking through the junk yards and rebuilding the classic American muscle cars.

No one knows possibly someday a muscle car fanatic will end up with an important position in one of those major automobile companies and be able to talk some sense into them. Unfortunately the head guys at these companies have got this belief, that if they think they are creating new and better muscle car, people will want it. It is probably a better idea to simply go back to your roots.

Volkswagen E-Bugster Concept is an electric bug that wants to go fast (Engadget)

The new _new_ Beetle might have gotten more macho in its latest incarnation,
but that didn't stop Volkswagen from upping the ante with the E-Bugster
Concept. Don't let those serious looks fool you, as its wielding a
comparatively anemic electric drivetrain donated from the upcoming
Blue-e-emotion Golf. That's 114 horses tasked with hauling a 695 pound
lithium-ion derriere, which in its hatchback donor took an languid 11 seconds
to hit 60MPH. It's got respectable range though, as it'll roam for nearly 100
miles before requiring a 120, 240 or 400V tether -- with the latter
replenishing 80 percent of its battery in a scant 30 minutes. That kind of
onboard choice we like, but next time lets withhold the visual drama unless we
really mean business. Okay?
